Getting Started

This guide walks you through opening the Configurator, connecting a device, and navigating the interface for the first time.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following:

  • A compatible browser — Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser (Edge, Brave, Arc, etc.)
  • A USB cable — to connect your device to your computer
  • A SIGSA device — powered and ready to connect (ESC, EVL, or EVCS)
tip

If you're unsure whether your browser is supported, see System Requirements.

Opening the Configurator

  1. Open your browser and navigate to here.
  2. You'll land on the Home page, which shows the app status and any previously connected devices.

No login or account is required — the Configurator runs entirely in your browser.

Connecting Your First Device

  1. Plug in your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Click the Connect button in the top navigation bar.
  3. In the connection dialog, select your device's serial port from the list.
  4. Choose Direct as the connection method.
  5. Click Connect — the Configurator will perform a handshake and read your device information.

Once connected, your device appears in the interface and you're taken to the Device page.

For more details on connection methods, auto-connect, and troubleshooting connection issues, see Connecting Devices.

Quick Tour

With a device connected, here's what you can do:

  1. View device info — The Device page shows your device's name, model, serial number, firmware version, and more.
  2. Browse settings — Settings are organized into groups (Essentials, Motor, Brake, etc.). Click any group to expand and view its settings.
  3. Check firmware — See your current firmware version and check for available updates.
  4. Navigate back — Use the sidebar to return to the Home page or visit other sections.
