App Settings & Tools
The Settings page lets you configure the Configurator app itself. These settings affect the app's behavior and interface — they do not change anything on your connected devices.
Language
The Configurator interface is available in multiple languages. To change the language:
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Under General, find the Language dropdown.
- Select your preferred language.
The interface updates immediately. Available languages include English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
Debug Console
The debug console displays real-time communication logs between the Configurator and connected devices. This is primarily useful when reporting issues to support.
To enable the debug console:
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Under Configurator, toggle Debug Console on.
The console output appears on screen and can help diagnose connection or communication problems. If support asks you to provide debug logs, enable this feature and reproduce the issue.
Clear Local Storage
The Configurator stores preferences, remembered connections, and cached data in your browser's local storage. If the app behaves unexpectedly, clearing this data can resolve the issue.
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Under Configurator, click Clear Local Storage.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
The page reloads and all stored data is removed. You'll need to reconfigure your preferences (language, auto-connect, etc.) and re-grant serial port permissions for your devices.
Help & About
The Help page in the sidebar provides:
- Version Information — The current version of the Configurator app.
- Contact & Feedback — How to reach SIGSA support or submit feedback.
- Third-Party Credits — Acknowledgments for open-source libraries used in the app.
